First and foremost, I wanted to thank all of our users for their support throughout 2023. I wish each of you a safe and restful festive season and look forward to continuing to support you into the new year. We constantly receive invaluable feedback from users on how we can make Legal Ready’s products eBrief Ready and Disclosure Ready even better and more effective – and we are extremely grateful for that support.
As the year draws to a close, we felt it an opportune time to give an update on developments at Legal Ready and reflect on some of the highlights from the year.
Integrations with eBrief Ready
We’re continuing to work with widely used legal software which complements and integrates with eBrief Ready. We now have integrations in place with iManage, Smokeball, Lexis Affinity, FilePro and EvolveGo – and we are working on finalising an integration with NetDocuments.
Most recently, we were delighted to complete our integration with Actionstep – the adaptable practice management platform for midsize law firms. With this integration in place, solicitors will be able to continue to run their entire practice from Actionstep – with the added benefit of being able to review and annotate documents and prepare briefs whilst working in eBrief Ready. Disclosure Ready - now available
Disclosure Ready has been built with the specific objective to transform disclosure management in family law matters, making it simpler, faster and more secure.
We’re delighted to let you know that we are progressively making the platform available to eBrief Ready law firms who have signed up to participate in our Preview Release Program. If you would like to join this program please contact us.

eBrief Ready product development - new features
We have added a number of new features in recent months. These include:
- Multiparty matters (learn more)
- Sorting documents by date at the folder level
- Editing a document name and date when viewing a document
At the end of this month we will be adding:
- Creating private bookmarks, making it easier to divide your document into sections and navigate it quickly.
Harnessing the power of AI
Legal Ready is currently utilising AI technology in its new product Disclosure Ready. AI agents automatically extract the key information from bank and credit card statements and identify any missing statements – saving you hours of manual processing. We will also be making these agents available in eBrief Ready.
We will be developing further AI features in both products during 2024. These include:
- Automated chronologies
- Interactive Q&A with your documents
There will be an additional cost if you choose to use these powerful AI agents and tools.
We run regular training sessions in AI for law firms and chambers. We believe it is essential that the profession becomes familiar with this technology as legal will be one of the major sectors to be impacted by AI in the next few years.
Key eBrief Ready milestones
- 38,344 signed up eBrief Ready users (as at 13 December 2023)
- 66% of Barristers across Australia have signed up to eBrief Ready (4,000 / 6,000)
- 94% of Australia’s leading family law firms, as listed in Doyles Guide 2023 have users signed up to eBrief Ready (30 / 32)
- Adopted by the Australian Attorney-General’s Department, the Victorian Office of Public Prosecutions, Crown Law Queensland, the Public Trustee of Queensland and used in a number of courts across Australia
- Attended and spoke at a number of conferences throughout 2023, including:
- NSW Law Society Specialist Accreditation Conference, Sydney
- ABA Conference, Gold Coast
- ALPMA Summit, Melbourne
- Employment + IR Conference, Gold Coast
